Sequencing with Miss Beasley

We are so very fortunate to have a student from MC who is studying to become a teacher. She has been placed in our room for a month to teach various lessons. Miss Beasley has been great! Today she taught us a lesson on Sequencing. We learned that sequencing tells you the order in which things happen. Miss Beasley told us to look for key words such as first, next, last, before, after, then, finally. These words will help us put the events in order. Miss Beasley gave us sentence strips that were out of order. We had to read the sentence strips and put the steps in order on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We made sure to look for those key words to help put the events in order.

Bryson reading each sentence strip to determine where his step goes.

This week we are reading a story called Lemonade for Sale. Miss Beasley gave us the steps for selling lemonade. We had to put the steps in order.
